Just finished returning my GNex to stock using WFresh and the OTA for 4.2 starts downloading. However, once finished and tries to install, a android with a orange triangle appears and I have to pull the battery to get it to start again. I've done this twice now. Anyone with a clue why this is happening? Thanks.

    Hi tommyjoesanders,
I have the same dilemma. The 4.2.1 update fails to apply. The error is "assert failed: apply_patch_check("EMMC:/dev/block/platform/omap/omap_hsmmc.0/by-name/radio:10748160...". Based on your feedback in this forum, I understand this is an issue with the radio version on my phone. I have the FC12 radios and apparently need to flash the FH05 radios before applying the 4.2.1 update. Can you explain how to do it?

I figured it out. Sprint's OTA 4.2.1 update would not install, because it requires the FH05 radios. My Galaxy Nexus had the FC12 radios installed.
This is what I did to correct the problem.
    (1) Downloaded the FH05 radio files from toroplus_full_radios-FH05.zip
    http://www.shabbypenguin.com/OUDstuf...adios-FH05.zip
(Or, get the individual FH05 LTE and CDMA radio files from
xda-developers - View Single Post - [ACS] Return to stock using Odin)
    (2) Extracted radio-cdma-FH05.img and radio-LTE-FH05.img from the zip file to my PC.
    (3) Rebooted my Galaxy Nexus into fastboot mode by hold down the power, volume up, and volume down buttons.
    (4) Connected my Galaxy Nexus to my PC using a USB cable.
    (5) From my PC, I ran these android-sdk platform tool commands to flash the FH05 radios:
    fastboot flash radio radio-LTE-FH05.img
    fastboot flash radio-cdma radio-cdma-FH05.img
    fastboot reboot

After the above steps, Sprint's OTA 4.2.1 update installed.

Thanks for the great tip! I had been all over looking to fix this and had updated from FC12 to FD02, but still failed up update the OTA. This is the only place I found the tip on FH radios. Flashed the .zip and now sideloading the OTA.
