Sprint Nexus locksreen SMS issue

So I have a Samsung Sprint Nexus SPH-L700. I took the battery out and when I turned it back on I guess it updated because now I have an issue with an SMS widget-looking app on my lock screen. I have a privacy issue with this because it gives access to see all my text messages on the lock screen. Any help?

If it is a lockscreen widget then you should be able to tap & hold it for a few seconds. Then x Remove will appear at the top of the screen, just drag the widget to the word remove.
