Re: Group messaging
Well since the other variants of the note 2 do bit through stock.... I wonder if its just a bit of code that needs to be modified.

Re: Group messaging
I'm really hoping that Sprint pushes this functionality in an update soon...along with Google Wallet. I switched from Verizon and I really miss this functionality.

Re: Group messaging
I was looking at other apps to get this functionality also. The rest of the family is on iPhones, they all get to group chat, I can't. I was looking at ChatOn and Kick Messenger.
On the GN2 variants that do have group messenger, does it work when the message is first sent from an iPhone?Sprint since 01/06/99: Sanyo SCP-4500 -> Audiovox PPC-6700 -> Palm Treo 755p -> Palm Centro -> Palm Pre 1.4.5 -> Jailbroken iPhone 4s ->

Re: Group messaging
Who says the AT&T version does group messaging?
My g/f just got an AT&T Note 2 (coming from an iPhone 4S). So far, I cannot get group messaging to work at all. If she sends a message to multiple recipients, it goes to each recipient individually (i.e. so if a recipient replies, the reply only comes back to my g/f and not to everybody in the group). And if I send a group text from my Rezound, when she receives it, it shows as being directly from me and doesn't even show the other recipients - so, of course, her reply only comes back to me.
I also tried GoSMS and Handcent and neither of those work, either.
With GoSMS, it basically works just like stock. With Handcent, when she receives a group text, it actually shows the whole group, but when she replies, it still sends her reply as individual messages to each person in the group.
Is there any way to get group texting to work on an AT&T Note 2?
ps. I am NOT talking about Mass Texting - where you choose a group from your contacts and your message is sent as an individual SMS message to each recipient in the group. I am talking about group texting, where each message is sent via MMS and it sends only one message to all the recipients at once, so their replies also go to everybody in the original recipient list.
