Any way to...?

On stock deodexed rom, rooted. Any way to get rid of the annoying start up and shut down sounds?

I've already tried getting rid of PowerOn.ogg and PowerOff.ogg in system/media/audio/ui

What am I missing?

Go to \system\media\audio\ui\SPR\ and either rename or delete the PowerOn.ogg file there

Thanks I didn't even see that folder. I now have a custom boot animation with a matching sound

Yeah I know what you mean. I racked my brain looking for that elusive file. I had to get rid of that water droplet sound when you touch the screen as well. I couldn't stand it.

I just muted system sounds in the quick volume tab... Lol but yes, it drives me insane.

My phone sounds nothing like a note anymore. I'm slowly phasing out all the stock sounds
