My note 2 recently started turning on randomly throughout the day, essentially killing my battery. I didn't add any new apps and my settings are to shut off at 15 seconds of inactivity. This is really annoying as my once great phone is starting to become a hassle. Any advice?

My note 2 recently started turning on randomly throughout the day, essentially killing my battery. I didn't add any new apps and my settings are to shut off at 15 seconds of inactivity. This is really annoying as my once great phone is starting to become a hassle. Any advice?

There is a setting that turns screen on and shows you lock screen if your hand just goes near the screen without touching, also there is a setting that keeps screen lit if it thinks your looking at it. Try turning both of these settings off and see if it still happens. The first is under "motion" settings and is called "quick glance"
