Amazon Delaying Shipments
I pre ordered on the 13th with Amazon after CANCELING my order with Wirefly (no tax, 30 day return policy, I like amazon) after amazon told me I was far enough on the list to make the first shipment. I got an email earlier this morning saying I will now get it in the 27th-29th time frame.
I called and they are giving me free overnite and a $20 credit, but it still sucks. FYI everyone. - 09-17-2011, 05:09 PM #2
That sucks. Kind of glad decided to cancel my preorder and just get one in store yesterday.

Re: Amazon Delaying Shipments
Even the stores are low on quantity, so I am not surprised.
I walked into the Sprint store to look for a screen protector and the guy asked me where I got the epic touch, very surprised. I let him look at it a bit, because none of the Sprint stores and only one Best Buy (that got 2) had it yesterday.

Re: Amazon Delaying Shipments
really? The Sprint stores and BestBuys up here have multiple units still (North of Baltimore)
I am going to ask for free activation too if I really do get pushed into next week and this alleged free activation through Amazon is for real. - 09-17-2011, 07:01 PM #5
Re: Amazon Delaying Shipments
Well, I heard the shipments were pretty darn restricted. One corporate store 45 miles out had some. Nothing closer. I went to the Best Buy 35 miles out because they promised to hold one for me. One other Best Buy roughly the same distance in the opposite direction a best buy mobile only location and three sprint stores had no stock.
What is this free activation through Amazon thing all about? - 09-17-2011, 07:30 PM

Re: Amazon Delaying Shipments
I emailed Amazon about the delay and they gave me overnight shipping (did not get the $20 credit as in the original post) and an estimation of 9/27-9/30. That's 2 weeks after the phone's release date. Pretty frustrating. I might as well cancel and wait for the Nexus Prime heh.

Re: Amazon Delaying Shipments
Free activation is up on Amazon, just got off the phone with them. You have to cancel your order, wait 24-48 hrs and place it again for it to apply. Dont know if I want to do it or not...

Re: Amazon Delaying Shipments
Yea, thats what I'm wondering. Not in a huge hurry to get it, but I dont really want to delay it any more than I have to (I do have the itch now that I've ordered it). Maybe I'll roll the dice on trying to get Sprint to waive the activation fee for me, long time customer with 8 lines!

Re: Amazon Delaying Shipments
ok, so an update. I decided to cancel with Amazon because there CS was annoying me (which is a first, normally, I am exceedingly impressed with Amazon Customer Support). Anyway, I switched my order to Wirefly (yesterday) and it shipped last night. It is our for delivery RIGHT NOW.
I received free activation and if anyone is interested in $25 off their order, PM me for a referral link. I am very happy that I switched to Wirefly. - 09-21-2011, 08:02 AM #19
