Can I show pics on my TV from this phone with the cable?

I thought I would be able to hook this phone directly into my usb port on my Samsung TV. My TV recognizes the device, it just doesn't recognize any photo files? Can anybody help me with this? Other than that, I'm loving my new phone.

Does your TV also have DLNA? If so, you can link your phone to your TV using the preinstalled Allshare app. Otherwise you need a MHL cable and connect via HDMI.

Try the MHL cable first. This will eliminate any type of file comparability issues from one device to another.
With the MHL cable, if you can view it on your device, you can view it on a tv.
