Sorry about my first post..

Can the galaxy s 2 white be rooted using the one click method that's posted in xda forms?

Also. Does that support wifi tethering? (wireless)

If not can you please point me in the correct direction?

Most likely yes, but you'd need to confirm what version of software is shipping with the white version.

If it is EK02, then the Auto Root sticky on XDA will work directly.

If it is EL29, then you need one extra step using the pre-rooted ODIN One-Click.

What is the "regular" wifi tether?

Android WiFi Tether works with root, but it only supports Ad-Hoc mode. If your wireless clients don't support Ad-Hoc, they won't see your phone.

There are modifications to get the builtin Sprint hotspot app working. That one supports infrastructure mode. Search for hotspot in the development section at xda.
