no root benefits?

Id like to know what I can get from my epic without rooting I only have ginger 2.3.6 and cannot seem to update.LTE chip? Thats Verizon what can I do with that

I think you are asking the benefits to NOT rooting your device, like proper 4G modem updates. If that is the case, you might also consider that certain programs will not work if rooted, like Netflix, and I am not sure if there has been any work around for rooted users.

I'm rooted and netflix works fine. It must depend which rim you choose. I'm rooted but stock right now. Benefit for me is that I have a few apps that I like that require root.

im rooted and netflix works just fine. also i get free wifi tether

I'm rooted and when a stong wind blows I don't blow away !!!!
Netflix works fine and smoother since new Calkulin ROM also no bloatware, faster speeds and longer batt life.
