I made a rookie mistake and bricked my phone. I am now considering my options. It is insured, so do I tell both Sprint (and my parents) that I lost it, sunk it, or smashed it?

Are you sure it's bricked? It's very difficult to hard brick this phone. What did you do and what happens now when you try to power it on, or more importantly boot into download mode?

If you respond with "I flashed the International SGS2 version of ICS in Odin" we can stop right there because in that case, yes you are likely hard bricked. But let's get a little more info here before we talk about things like insurance.

If it is bricked tell sprint you lost it and sell it for parts online and pay the $100 fee with the money you make
