    Nice!

I just got my phone last week. So far so good. Speeds are a little slow, but the phone is awesome!

Yes it is quite a nice phone from what I've been told.

Keep an eye on the main blog page for updates on ICS in the future.

    Enjoy

If you're ambitious enough, theres a steady stream of ICS leaks over at XDA if you want to experiment. Be warned, there have been bricks during the flashing process and theres still problems due to these being test builds...

    Welcome btw.

I'm enjoying mine as it is, but I would be interested to know about an update. For now it works fine.

I won't mess around with that stuff. Don't want to brick my phone. I'll wait for the "official" release of ICS.

Im quite confident you won't brick if you read enough. Fortunately (read: unfortunately) enough people have bricked transitioning between GB and ICS, we know what not to do now. It's fairly simple actually

After seeing the video of the latest leak (FC07) I am glad to see that everything works, but sad to see that the transition effects when switching between home screens seen in earlier builds are still gone, and that the infinite home screen loop we are dealing with right now is still present. I hope they go back to the transitions and to letting the homescreens stop once you reach either end so that our scrollable live wallpapers work. If not, then we'll have to resort to using other launchers for that.

Oh well, looks like they are making good progress, especially with the GPS since that seemed to be one of the bigger problems.

No problem. He made a ton of videos of the earlier versions too in which you can see the transition effects I was talking about.

I wish they would hurry up and release for all devices the process shouldn't take months carriers and manufactures need to work cohesively

When it comes to devices away from the Nexus phones much of the hold up probably is due to getting the new OS to work with the carrier and manufacture skins, Sense/Touch wiz, etc.

And also the fact that the process is something like this iirc.

Carrier requests update -> Samsung creates updates & sends back -> [ Carrier beta tests ~ find bugs ~ sends back to Samsung -> Samsung fixes bugs ~ sends back for more testing ] (multiple times spanning weeks) -> Carrier & Samsung finds update satisfactory -> Uploaded to servers and OTA'd (10 day process)

Yep. Not to mention, like paul said, custom skinning adds some time to this process.

i have been running ICS on mine for about a week and a half now, and its very nice. i may see about updating to the latest build, but i've been flashing so much lately, that im sick of rebuilding my phone (even after titaniumbackup does its thing, i still have to redo the home screen)

For those of you who have ics, which version do you have? I have the blended version. however,I do not really like it, because it does not have all the featuresi like.
