How do you disable update notification?

How do you disable the update notification on a stock Epic 4G on GB?

I keep on getting the update notification to ICS and it's starting to annoy me.

With root you can freeze system update using titanium backup. Also they have an app called fotakill.apk over at xda

I installed fotakill and now I don't get the update notification anymore.

Hi I have looked through Titanium and havent found a part to stop system updates. Do you know which part it is? Thanks

I'm afraid not. I consider it a rather big failure on Samsung to not include a way to disable update notifications.

Well drat. I'm not good when it comes to things like rooting. Looks like I'll have to root or just update the darn thing.

Install fotakill and when you get a notifcation, pull the battery for a few minutes and reinstall. I am on GB and have not had a notification in 4 months.

Open Root Explorer app.
Move the File in cache to any of your SD Card Location.

Thats it.
