Phone overheating while charging
I noticed for the past few days that my phone gets really hot while it's charging. I powered it off to charge and there was a caution and temp icon on the screen. What could be causing it to overheat?

What from are you running? Any other problems? When it charges does it take way longer than normal? How long ago did you get the phone?

Remove the battery. Lay the battery on its side on a flat coutertop. Spin it. If it spins like a top go to sprint and tell them your battery is bulging.

Re: Phone overheating while charging
Also, corrosion on your charging port maybe the cause.

Re: Phone overheating while charging
You could also have a rogue app running and causing the processor to be used heavily, causing it to get hot and take longer to charge..
as others mentioned hard reset and make sure battery is flat and not bulging..DropBox lets you sync files across Android, iOS, and Desktop Computers. Sign up for free, install, get me and you extra space! DropBox

Re: Phone overheating while charging
I would check that you haven't an app running that could be the culprit. I found that some task manager apps caused that to happen so I uninstalled them. Also check any widgets running and things you have automatically synching. I also stop all apps running and clear memory... it could be something running in the background.
