How to install a zip file?

I have my E4GT rooted, but that's it. (No CWM or anything).

I saw that the Andriod 4.2 camera app is out (on Android Police). It is a zip file, and they say just install to your rooted phone like anyother zip file.

Questions is, how do I do that? Do I have to have a custom recovery (like AGAT) to install the zip file or can I do it if I am only rooted?

You need recovery like cwm

You might be able to get away with pushing it. After you unzip you would place all files where they need to be. But I havent opened the zip to look at it.

It should be a replacement to your stock Camera.apk

So you should be able to use something like ES File Explorer and navigate to your /system/app/ directory and copy/paste it there. Worst case you have to set the permissions on the file and reboot and be good to go...

Must have Superuser access to do this.
