Cm10 Wth is this selector thing and how to remove it?
I'm sick and tired of this stupid selector thing that makes a sound anytime you tap something. It interrupts podcast, music, everything
Basically it's a waste of time trying to read while listening to something on cm10 for the past month or so, every time I press something or swipe I get a stupid selector icon that makes a sound every time
Does anyone know how to remove this piece of crap? Thanks

Re: Cm10 Wth is this selector thing and how to remove it?
I checked all my running apps, none of them could cause them unless maybe it's some error with it and the rom I guess
Idk
It seems more like a feature because it's like a hi lighter that goes on thing you tap. Wish I knew how to get rid of it. I shld sign up for xda and ask I guess

Re: Cm10 Wth is this selector thing and how to remove it?
Dude, you have about 18 different icons in the notification bar and God knows how many processes running in the background. That definitely isn't a CM issue; that would be an "I-have-too-many-apps-installed-and-not-sure-what-is-causing-the-issue" issue.

Hm.. Maybe it's the go sms themes? I have air blocker installed but I don't think it's been working since I flashed last month's stable. Although I don't get push ads anymore, I get some kind of weird ad for each them when I start my device
And also my ui crashes atleast once a day

Re: Cm10 Wth is this selector thing and how to remove it?
Status bars been acting funny today, one app called bar notifications magically made all my notifications in my notification bar dissappear, been using it for weeks and nothing like this happened
Uninstalled and installed it again, same result, even downloaded another app that does that ongoing notification shortcut feature, same result
But then my system ui crashed, and actually restarted itself, it never restarts

Holy notifications batman! Are you running an antivirus? I suggest Lookout. That just looks like a disaster....
Edit: I see Avast....Still your phone just looks like a mess man, not meaning to offend - 12-09-2012, 06:32 PM

Phone is getting better magically, whenever the system ui crashes, it restarts within 20 seconds so I no longer have to reboot my phone to get my nav and status bar back

Re: Cm10 Wth is this selector thing and how to remove it?
Wow, not bashing your phone guy. But dear Lord you gotta lot of notifications. I would say running that many processes would do it. If you said you have all that running and from what it looks like, a task launcher on top of that. Your running yourself dry. I'm running cm10 10.0 and having little to no issues. Sometimes all the widgets can take up memory to the point it makes the OS restart. You're memory doesn't even have to be taken up completely. Its just a matter of too many processes running all at once. Start there.

Re: Cm10 Wth is this selector thing and how to remove it?
I'm usually around anywhere between 500 mb and 387 mb left during heavy use
But the ui crashes randomly, not even when I'm using it sometimes, sometimes I would wake up, turn my screen on and see that the ui crashed, and I always remove any running apps before I go to bed

Don't know why I even signed up for xda, when you can't even post in the thread of a rom or add a screenshot of the issue, because I'm a new user
