Default Sprint S3 info (from insidesprintnow)

Says the splash webpages should be up in a few days with preorder pages to come.

    Galaxy S3
    1 06 2012

A Couple of interesting tidbits popped up in my feed reader today – looks like we’re prepping the web team to ready the pages for the Galaxy s3 Pre-Ordering process and launch pages.

They were just submitted in the last 24 hours, so it’ll take the web team a few days to get them active, but the landing page will be sprint.com/galaxys3 and the pre-order page will be sprint.com/galaxysiii

The paste below is just from my feed reader, and the links won’t work for you I don’t think, but it was easier to include than a screenshot. We should have an actual live date soon, along with launch dates, etc…

Good news for Sprint and T-mobile customers. I would assume that all of the 4 major US carriers with announce pre-orders in the next few days.

Just read that both the sprint and Verizon version cruised through the FCC.

They may be fake but knowing Sprint, the GS3 will have some Ridiculous long name like "Samsung Galaxy S3 Epic 4G LTE" and we know feom the leaked T-Mobile rendering which seem more legit that the US versions of the GS3 will look identical to their International couterpart.

Not necessarily. Remember all the US carriers have their own twists. Hell ATT has what 3 versions of the S2?

Given the sprint/HTC fiasco, how many people will be pre-ordering from several places?

I doubt the home button stays on any Galaxy US model.

I hope it's gone. Would love to see the 4 capacitive buttons.

But PLEASE keep the menu button. Don't want that screen-shrinking menu emulation on the HTC One/EvoLTE line.

I hope it stays. Keeps all versions as close to the same as possible.

    Better case compatibility
    Easier to get updates done
    Easier to get compatible apps
    Easier to get custom roms

Maybe some of those do not make a BIG difference, but every bit helps. Anyway, we would see 3 capacitive buttons, don't you think?
Isn't that the new ICS setup?

I do not mind the three buttons on the international version. I just hope Sprint doe not remove the menu button. I do not care if they remove the search button as I have never used it.

Apps, roms and updates have nothing to do with the button layout. They will all be different anyway due to cdma vs gsm, firmware + radio differences etc.

Physical buttons break, I've seen it happen on many phones. Give me a non moving part any day.

I really want the 3GB for US confirmed though, and there's still hope Sprint will make some other improvements like they always do.

I bet since S-Voice is integrated into the physical button that Samsung is making all carriers keep it
