    I would think that you'd get it before Thursday, since the preorder is still up on the Sprint site.

    The Sprint store by me are a bunch of clowns (rude, and clueless. I walked in to see if they had any accessories for the EVO 4G LTE, and they told me that it hasn't been released yet, but preorders will start soon! This was after it had been out for at least a week.). Granted, that is probably not a common experience, but it pretty much turned me off of brick and mortar Sprint stores.

    It would also depend on how many a given store has.

    The order or a portion of the order is in backorder status. If the customer would like to select an alternate product or cancel the backordered item, transfer to Order Support.

    So any guesses what is going on?

    maybe you should read all the posts; something about sprint hasnt received the inventory yet

    I returned my Evo LTE also, and knew I wouldn't get in on the S3 pre-order if I waited for Sprint to process the return. After some digging around, I was connected to Account Services, which reset my upgrade within an hour of confirming they had received my phone. I know it's too late to help you now, but for future reference....

    My order shows this status today as well:

    Status: The equipment has shipped and/or the activation is complete

    But the tracking number space is empty.

    I chatted with Customer Service and asked for a tracking number and was told their system is down and they can't view the order. Because of the "system issue", the status displayed may not be the correct status

    The customer support rep said they didn't have access to their computers, the system was updating: "call back in an hour."

    Also got the Order Status message: 'The equipment has shipped and/or the activation is complete.' No tracking #.

    So, the drama building up nicely here for a Thursday release --I hope the 'equipment has shipped' is the factually correct part of the status message!

    *BTW, using the pre-order confirmation # I also got the status: "the order or a portion of the order is in backorder status...you may want to cancel your order, etc," so it is advised to get an actual order # from customer support once the system is back up, then you can get a different status update on the /myorder site

    I talked to them today and they said the back order status was currently applied to all Samsung Galaxy S3's but since I pre-ordered I should see my order shipped before the 21st.

    I'm not too worried about it.

    I dont understand I pre ordered 6/5 around 4:30 am central time. I guess they are not sending preorders on the first come first served basis.

    I ordered a car charger at the same time I pre ordered my phone. My car charger status said it was on backorder and I could cancel it if I wanted. The very next day... the car charger was delivered to my house. On my order page it still shows the car charger on backorder and it's sitting in my car.

    Mine is the same...I ordered at 3:16 AM East. Hopefully we will have a tracking number by days end tomorrow

    oh.. and i ordered the blue32 in case maybe thats the deal...
    possibly the white 16's are shipping first

    "sign into your account, then click see details under "recent payments", then on the right hand side click "see my order history." that should bring up the order number"

    I just checked and I get the same, using the D# I get a status of shipped and using the O# I get the backordered message.

    I had the E4GT and sold it to get an iPhone 4S but I am going back home to Android. I liked iOS but after using it for a few months preferred Android.

    BTW, I preordered last week on the 14th.

    Looking forward to getting this phone.

    hell yea my xxxx-O-12345678 says

    but my xx-xxxx-1234567 says

    According to the sprint rep I talked to, the D# is nothing but a warehouse number and to ignore what that says. Was told the only number to use is the # that was emailed to you. oy-XXXXXX. Everyone's warehouse number says that.

    My D# said that it was shipped the first time I noticed it (about 7:00am on the 5th). I ordered it 6/4/2012 11:05 pm CDT. Guess what..... I still don't have it.
