I will be upgrading when someone rips the S3 rom so I can flash it to the Epic Touch. Can't see any sizable difference between this and the Epic Touch, except that staying put gives me WiMAX while everyone else is stuck with 3G for awhile.

Re: What are you upgrading from?
I'm upgrading my daughter from an original EVO. She's rough on phones, the battery is about shot and she's busted the back cover. She's the LTE "guinea pig". We're in the Baltimore market and should be one of the first to get it. <crossing fingers>

Re: What are you upgrading from?
Currently on an Epic4G whose contract has recently expired and am ready for this. Was tempted on upgrading to the E4GT when it launched last year but was still on a contract. And luckily CM9 came out which increased its life span for me. But I think I'm due for an upgrade. Leaning towards the 32GB Marble White but will decide once I see both colors in person.

Re: What are you upgrading from?
Upgrading from the OG Evo. It is still a beast of a phone, only three draw backs. 1. The weird screen issue causing the "white dot" problem. 2. Sense always re-loading. And the kicker for the change in phones would be just simply a lack of internal memory. But for over 2 years, very happy with it. HTC build is pretty good. The real reason I'm looking to the G3 over the EVO LTE is due to Samsungs software offerings.

Re: What are you upgrading from?
E4GT, I got mine at launch (Paid full price off contract) to replace my OG EVO. WIfe is going to get my E4GT and not sure what we'll do with her EVO. Sure someone in the family has Sprint and might appreciate a free upgrade. Might just keep it for backup in case a phone breaks and we need a temporary devise until Insurance replaces it.

Re: What are you upgrading from?
I'm upgrading from an LG Lotus. One of the original purple ones.
I only buy a phone every 4 or 5 years, and honestly the Lotus has been good enough for checking email and twitter while out. For some reason this year's flagship phones made me drool, when in years past they haven't made me go anything but "Eh... still not there yet."
I still get comments on the Lotus, though. Its square shape is pretty darn eyecatching. I think the S3 will draw compliments, too. - 06-19-2012, 10:47 PM #70

If the s3 has same radio issues as the GNex then I'd say there is no upgrade to the S3 from any phone.
