Re: Issues So Far with GSIII
is there a way to have the LED notification pulsate on missed events rather than just stay a purple hue?

Re: Issues So Far with GSIII
I can't move anythiing from the phone to SD. I'm using an app called APP2SD pro and it says "this device does not have a real primary external storage, or the primary external storage is emulate". I tried another SD card and got the same message...Also, after binding with my car's bluetooth , the two don;t connect on subsequent entries...any ideas would be appreciated

Sprint Galaxy S3 (Got it on 07/01), latest software and patches....
1 - 3rd party apps (like Nitrodesk Touchdown) cause the LED to be yellow and NOT BLINK. I really don't care what color BLUE or what but I would like it to blink not be on constantly.
2 - Cannot set a custom ringtone for the calendar app. You can select a custom ringtone but it doesn't save it and the next time you get a notification from the calendar, it uses one of the default ones.

Re: Issues So Far with GSIII
There are some things that I've noticed that samsung has built into ICS that we need root for. With that being said, the TW level of customization feels subpar, almost standard like.
Has anyone successfully used any ibeats or beats by dre headphones with their S3? I can't for the life of me use my headphone to make a call or even answer a call when I'm listening to music.
Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a good music player, the built in one sucks huge balls. - 07-05-2012, 08:55 AM #87

You won't be able to. The SIII 16/32gb is not partitioned like the SII. App2SD was made because phones like the SII 16GB is partitioned, 2gb main for apps and 14GB for pics videos etc. 2gb is not enough for apps, so the program helps you move it to the phone internal 14gb "sd" memory or a physical external sd card.
On the SIII, you have a dedicated/unpartitioned full 16/32gb for apps (and everything else) so the app can't move it. The phone also doesn't recognize any partition or internal "sd" memory to move apps. There probably won't be an update for this, as Samsung would need update first and then the app? Or, app2sd would need to find a work around?
I know I'm probably not explaining this correctly, but because the phone itself would have to recognize or find the partition/internal memory to have the need to move it. Therefore, you have the option to move the app to a different memory slot, like a physical external sd card.
IMO: You don't have too much to worry about. For example: I have the white 16gb and 32gb external sd installed. I use my external 32gb for my pics, video, movies, music, ringtones, etc. My internal 16gb is strictly for apps/games. I'm using almost 2gb (70 +apps/games) right now and have everything I want loaded. So besides another few games or apps in the next few years, I'm set. Don't think I'll ever push more than 5gb of apps/games, because that would mean I would have over 120-140 apps/games (depending on size).
The only thing I could see a problem is buying movies from Google/Samsung/etc because that will put them on my internal 16gb phone. You have a few movies and it will eat up space fast.
***FYI: I've also found out that Google Play movies do not pay on the Samsung stock movie/video player. Therefore, the picture in picture kick **** feature doesn't work.***

Re: Issues So Far with GSIII
My wifi is terrible on this phone. With wifi analyzer, my DInc is getting a strong -58 to -70, even in another room. My S3 is getting -92 to -95 and I go into the other room and wifi disappears. Don't know if that is defective radio or an OTA fix, but this isn't good.

Say, you may know this by now but I was curious why the auto fit wasn't "working" and after Googling it, I came across an article stating that feature was removed or discontinued (maybe with ice cream sandwich?)so its not the phone or a setting but a feature I hope comes back in jelly bean or Kandy Kane. I really liked it!

Re: Issues So Far with GSIII
It has nothing to do with Samsung, and I think it may be local to Michigan. I found a thread on the EVO 4G LTE forum where there are a ton of people having the issue, all in Michigan like me. I don't have the battery drain issue like some of them:

My GS3 is now over a month old and I've installed two updates already. My grouse Is the screen dims in very bright sunlight rather than brighten to aid readability

It's strange that some people get such good battery life out of the S3 and some don't. It seems like some people get three times as much as other people. I know it's really subjective and depends upon a number of factors - I'm just trying to figure out why this is so

Re: Issues So Far with GSIII
The clock alarm has a mind of its own. You set a time, chose an alarm and choose the type of notification you want. (News headlines, weather, schedule) 90% of the time it defaults back to the default alarm tone, which comes on 10 minutes early. 10 mins later, the notifications I selected, 80% of the time doesn't even come on.
Anyone else?Last edited by Makad; 07-10-2012 at 09:20 AM.

Re: Issues So Far with GSIII
I have had my S3 for over a week, and the only "issue" I have with it is the location of the back key. When I turn on the camera, and turn the phone sideways, I'm prone to accidentally bumping the back button.
The power button is lower that what I am used to on my old Epic 4G, so I have to re-train the brain to reach lower to turn it on. I didn't think I would, but I do kinda miss the pyhsical keyboard as well. But overall, I'm very happy with my S3.
