Blinking LED

I have turned off the "Missed Event" toggle under "LED Indicator", but I am still seeing the LED blinking whenever I get a new email with Gmail. I checked the Gmail app, but do not see a toggle for the LED. What am I missing?

Go to Settings -> "your account - ie " -> Uncheck "email notifications" and the LED will no longer be on for emails.

Even if this works, this also turns off all notifications. I still want my phone to alert me to new email. Oh well, my battery life lasts for over 16 hours, so I guess this doesn't really matter.
