Re: Sunday, July 1 Launch (take 2)
I just ordered the white 32 GB version online, and took advantage of the buyback deal (comes off your bill once they receive the devices). Took about 5 minutes, and there was no delay. Total cost was $279.68, including tax ($29.69 - Chicago, IL). I find that I will also be charged the $36 activation fee (as an upgrading customer rather than $0 for new accounts). I think this is a rather silly (and petty) charge, since all I have to do to activate the new phone is go to sprint.com/activate. I don't think it even involves dealing with a real person.
Either way you go, it's painless and reassuring. You might want to try telesales, though. You may be able to get them to waive the activation fee.

Re: Sunday, July 1 Launch (take 2)
I called my local radio shacks yesterday before ordering online, and they said that they didn't get any shipments in, but are expecting it in the next week or so.

I am right by 2 of the confirmed stock stores in Gilbert and Chandler AZ, sprint store opens at 11, best buy at 10.... I'm gonna check out the white one at best buy to se if I like it (I'm a premier silver member so buying at BB is prefered...), otherwise I'll go get her in blue at sprint.
I almost expected a line at one of the stores, but no one is around either one...

Lol... right after I posted that about 10 people got out of their cars and got in line, I left for the sprint store since BB was only has 4 anyways.... no line here, parked right in front of door...

Re: Sunday, July 1 Launch (take 2)
Best Buy near me has whites only also. Not sure if I'm going to order blue online or wait for one nearby.

Just left sprint store and replaced my daughters gs3 as it came in damage from shipping.
No issues @ sprint store they replaced it no questions asked. I was there 30 minutes before the doors opened. By the time they opened, there were 10 more people in line behind me. By the time I left, there was close to 30 people in the store waiting. I feel sorry for the 4 people working. They have their work cut out for them today.

Re: Sunday, July 1 Launch (take 2)
Picked up 16gb blue at Sprint Store, Santan Village Gilbert AZ. I was first in, first phone, guy told me they had 25 total. At the rate people were coming through the door I expect they sold out around noon.... picked up a screen cover and package of tectiles.
Phone is freakin awesome.... unreal fast and almost impossible to lag down with apps... I never had much installed on my Epic, that's changing now.... - 07-01-2012, 07:15 PM #95
Re: Sunday, July 1 Launch (take 2)
Must be my lucky day because this is the first day my upgrade was available.
I was going to get a evo4glte but I logged on to order that and saw the gs3 was available, so I ordered a blue 16gb basically on a whim which isn't like me.
Hopefully it will come quickly, and be a good phone. Not really happy with my evo 3d but I liked my og evo so this is going to be a bit different. - 07-01-2012, 07:22 PM #96

I ordered my 16GB marble white by calling sprint directly at 12 midnight CST (which is already Sunday). I can't wait for it to get here. I hope it gets here b4 the 4th of July. I also ordered a body glove case and some screen protectors just until my preorder otterbox defender case is released and mailed to me. I wonder when it will be shipped if its ordered on a Sunday at midnight? Oh well at least I ordered it without an issue
I'm a happy girl!
