I've only had my phone for two days and about every half hour when I go back to the home screen or press the home button it says "unfortunately touchwiz has stopped". so I either have to restart, shut down or take the battery out a few times for touchwiz to function. my phone isn't rooted. what have I done wrong or is it my phone?

I would guess it's a rogue app not playing nice. Remove or disable them one at a time. I had this issue briefly early on, but must have removed offender because it stopped and hasn't returned.
