Was driving along in central NJ (Freehold area) about 2weeks ago when out of the blue, my phone started showing 4g.

I pulled over, did a speed test and was getting like 15mb down and 10mb up. Drove another few miles and it fell back to the usual horrific sprint 3g speeds.

Was really bizarre. Guess they must have been testing :'(

Haven't had time to play with it. In Manhattan its only active pin one side of town. Right on the fringe of coverage I went from 600kbps 3g to 7mbps LTE

Right now in Olathe I'm getting 10.5Mbps down and 3Mbps up. Good to hear that they have it in Manhattan too as I'll be headed back there in August :)

LTE in Manhattan seems tied to around Aggieville, They installed a antenna and repeater in Best Buy but I'm not sure if that is the source or simply for store use to show how fast the service will be when an official roll out hits the area.

I think people are confusing Manhattan, Kansas with Manhattan, NY.
