You have to go through a process to get the 50 gigs. When you register, you should be getting an email leading you to the dropbox site where thou will have to complete 4 or 5 tasks to get the 50 gigs.

I found it best that when you are viewing the screen of things to complete, back out after doing each one to the login screen. Then "login" again, and what is completed will show as such.
I used an already established account, emailed an invite to another email account of mine, and now I have 53.25GB or something close to that.
Hope this helps.

Re: drop box 50 gig?
Thanks for reminding me to complete tasks. I did 4 of 7, once i did the 5th it gave me the extra space right away. good luck!

Re: drop box 50 gig?
The question: Can you use your existing account (let's say 2gig), which would give me 52 gig or do I have to create a New Account, which would give me two dropbox accounts.

Re: drop box 50 gig?
Wow. This is the first I've heard needing to do anything more than just register for the account to get the 50 gig. Thanks for the heads up. I found the email I originally never opened and completed the steps. Now I have my 50ish gigs.
I would bet I'm not the only one in that boat..... - 07-14-2012, 04:21 PM #16
I deleted that email!!! Thankfully I was able to recover it in my trash lol! I hope you guys are right!!!

Re: drop box 50 gig?
All I did was sign into dropbox. Checked my Email for fun and there it was but Ihad to sign in again. As soon as I did....got 48GB more space.

Theres a lot of you have to do for those 50g of space. I got mine. But man I basically had to give up all my info and some of my friends emails to get it. It was a real gimmick they pulled.

Re: drop box 50 gig?
Shortly after installing the Dropbox app on my Sprint S3, I received the e-mail about the added 48gig.
NOTE: the bonus space is only for 2 years!! Hopefully it won't be expensive at the end of that time, but I'm not going to get too invested in using that space. It was cool, however, to be able to move a 7 gig archive from work to home! The two transfers took about the same time as the commute home!
As for the earlier question about Google Drive, 100gig = $4.99 / month (less than Dropbox). - 07-17-2012, 01:20 PM #22
