Default So, anyone in 'upgraded' network areas getting better reception?

For the folks who are in areas where Sprint has turned on LTE and pushed other network upgrades, does any of this result in better reception?

    Yes,

I was in Waco, Texas, this morning, Dallas yesterday. Waco, Texas which has been upgraded with the complete NV Fit package meaning all backhall, and 3g has been upgraded, including LTE. Unlike Dallas or Houston which has only had LTE turned on and not completed the backhall 3G FIT upgrade yet. The only Texas area with the complete FIT right now is Waco, IMO this is the main issue people are having. THe rest on Aiustin Area is also doing the complete NV FIT upgrade with LTE at same time. I just think Erickson for the bigger Citties in Texas was rushing to just get LTE turned on first, then go back and complete the NV FIT upgrade for the towers later.

Very big difference on my wifes SG3. like twice as better in Waco compared to Dallas. FYI, you can really tell the difference in picking up signal. I wish sprint would have got the complete NV Fit complete on the towers they turned on in Dallas, instead of just LTE.

I'm not in a better coverage area but I'm getting much better reception with my S3 than I did with my S2.....heck...any phone I've had for that matter.

Kansas City, MO here. Actually about 20 miles east of it. Took a couple days but starting two days ago I got 3G speeds of 1.5Mbps down, 800Kbps up. Then two 4G speed readings so far. 5.5Mbps down, 3.5Mbps up and 10Mbps down, 1.5Mbps up. So damn fast, I love it! And stable as hell.

I had an original Evo 4G and could not get a good 3G signal in our house in the Orlando area. Ocassionally I could get a worthwhile 4G WiMax signal but not consistently. Sprint even sent me a Airrave box for the house and that helped but we used most of our data over WiFi.

Even with all of that, I could not maintain a signal in one of our back rooms (furtherest from the router and Airrave) with the Evo. Now I can stream music and podcasts to the S3 in that same room without dropping out.

Hopefully when they turn on LTE in our area that will make an even bigger difference.

Yeah. You can do it on 3g as well right now since they made the s3 able to do voice/data simultaneously.

I am in Houston and have noticed slightly better 3g speeds but its very sporadic in certain areas. I won't even discuss LTE because thats truly a joke. Can't connect or can't stay connect for longer than 3 minutes. All im asking for is 3g speeds of 300kbps and 120 ping and im good for a long time.

I'm in the DFW area and I'm getting very good 4G about 28Mbs down and 15 up. Can't really ask for more that's faster than my Internet at home where I get 20mbs download about 10 up. I haven't noticed if 3g is better than before...

Where in DFW are you getting those speeds? In NW Dallas and North Dallas when I can find LTE I'm getting 1.5 mbps down and .5 up if anything. 3g seems slower than it was on my evo 4g.

Considering this is in the middle of the night when no one is using their phone, not really impressive. Atlanta is "upgraded" and the 3G is still so garbage during the day that you can't even stream music.

Here's another one, is not very impressive but I used to get same speeds before they turned on 4g LTE. I'm not really sure if they upgraded the 3g yet.
