text messages all changed to blue...
Has anyone else experience their text messages turning blue using the stock app? They are now back white so I don't have screen print. I do know it is being discussed in the Verizon section too.

I don't use the stock messaging app but since they are not all blue, I wonder if perhaps they were sent with a high prioity.
Or if you have more than a single google account the colors may be showing that they are from a different accounts address book.

I'm getting this same thing within the last ten minutes or so. Can't figure it out for the life of me.

Re: text messages all changed to blue...
Does it maybe turn blue letting you know there's a new message that you haven't responded too?
Cause if I get a text from my wife and I go to respond, it goes straight to the bubbles to type. When I'm finished, I usually just back straight out to the home screen using the home button instead of hitting back a few times. But I noticed that when I get multiple messages at the same time and I finish texting the wife and actually back out to the "list" of people to see who texted, the one who texted will be highlighted blue till I respond.Last edited by Gator352; 07-22-2012 at 05:40 AM.

Definitely not it. The names changed to blue and it was from older conversations, meaning the people hadn't texted me recently. As one of the posters has said it evens happens when you delete one thread other names will pop up blue.

Well, at least it's a nice shade of blue.

Re: text messages all changed to blue...
I was trying to figure this out as well! Can't figure out what it could be. Has to be a bug. I can scroll down to the bottom of the thread list, and back to the top, and different contacts names will turn blue or back to white each time

Re: text messages all changed to blue...
Mine started doing it right after I received the severe alert. Then I started seeing other messages changed to blue (read/replied to/low priority). Restarted the phone but no luck. Different ones show up blue when I back out and go back in. It's getting annoying. It would be cool if it was for unreplied messages or showing its from the same carrier. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Re: text messages all changed to blue...
I had this problem as well. I found this forum and then another. For me, and probably most of you, it happened after I recieved a Severe Weather Alert message. Delete the Weather Alert message. Then force stop your messaging program. All text messages will go back to white. Will probably have to do after all SWA messages.

Re: text messages all changed to blue...
I have this from time to time also, I thought it was possibly some kind of recieved/sent indicator. It seems to only happen in threads to non-verizon users (I'm on verizon) but I could be wrong.
Edit: I take that back, clearly happens with texts to other verizon users as well.Last edited by tomar264; 08-20-2012 at 08:52 AM.
