New Things in the L710VPLG8 Update

The first thing I noticed was in text messaging; the attachment paperclip is now on the left and the send button is on the right; I like that.

Obviously the fact you can change the brightness in the notification bar too.

Music hub still does not work.

What else?

In addition to the new Brightness Slider and Attachment button moving...

Immediate connection to LTE while in my office where I barely got one bar sitting by the window before. Showing 4 bars.

Preferred Network Selection now only says LTE/CDMA once you tap it. No more LTE/CDMA/EVDO.

Tapping on an MMS picture now opens it full screen. No need to save and then go to gallery to view.

I'll test some other things that had been irking me later.

The vibrate options for SMS changed.

The individual brightness setting for the Browser is gone. Now you can only change the color level...dissappointing since I liked that feature when I browse at night. The keyboard also seemed bubbly.

Before the LG8 update my water drop sound went out like once a week or less now with this update all those sounds go out a few times a day and only a reboot fixes it...anyone else noticing or experiencing this? TIA

It's August 5th, and I have not gotten mine yet. Also, Kies tells me "your device cannot be upgraded via Kies". Mine is a stock Sprint S3 purchased new from Best Buy. Is there anything else I can try?
