IPhone earplugs on s3

My iPhone earplugs when connected to my s3 the mic doesn't work. I can hear the person I'm talking to but they can't hear me. Why is this? Anyone else experiencing this?

I have not tried the IPhone ear buds but i think the S3's are the best ones i have used in a long time.

They are nicer than the apple ones IMO but I lost mine

not sure. IPhone headphones are probably designed specifically for the iPhone. I tried to use my beats with my Palm Pre. Something happened. Beats are specifically designed to work with idevices just like iPhone head phones

The band for the mic on the iPhone headsets jack is offset to only work with the iPhone, compare them to a regular headset and you can see it.

Same problem here. My iPhone earbuds worked with my Evo LTE and Galaxy 2, but not this.

The Samsung earbuds don't fit in my ear. They just fall out.

Right. My evo lte worked just fine with iPhone headphones.

The word iPhone in these forums are fighting words now. Besides, apple probably activated it's patented super secret patent activation process enabling the patent that disables the headphones for use on all new Samsung products.
