started with a black spot...
so last night I noticed a black spot in the top rjgjt corner of the phone which appeared to be a large dead pixel spot. I searched for some at home fixes but nothing worked so I ffigured I would just take the phone to sprint in the morning. now I have woken up and the spot is still there but now the entire phone is a shade of pink and purple making the screen hard to use.what is wrong with my phone?? I was already having problems with it resetting reguearly by itself but this is just not ok! what can I do??

Re: started with a black spot...
Go to Sprint and get a new one.. You should be covered for a defect under the manufacturers warranty.
Did you damage the phone in any way, maybe by dropping it? - 08-29-2012, 07:49 AM

Re: started with a black spot...
If you call customer service, try to get a supervisor on the line... and make a big fuss about how the phone is unusable, they will usually overnight the new phone to you... Then you have a week to ship back the old one. Tell them you use your phone for work/business and that it's a necessity that you have a working one immediately. You shouldn't have to wait 3-5 business days.

UPDATE #2: was on the phone with sprint customer service for quite some time, spoke to multiple people and supervisors. bottom line i was told is: i am getting sent a replacement phone. apparently they are supposed to say 3 to 5 days for arrival, but assuming they placed the order right it should be in the store by tomorrow and i was told they would call me back with the tracking number this evening so i would know exactly when the phone was delivered to the store but i was told there was nothing i could do to accelerate the process.
also: my screen is officially completely black and useless at this point. - 08-29-2012, 06:22 PM

Re: started with a black spot...
Wow... I must have one of those rare "Good Sprint Retail Stores" I've done it 2 times now.

Re: started with a black spot...
I'm not a Sprint customer... but my wife is and so are a few of my friends and I've gone through this same experience with them a few times now trying to get replacements.. they were told the same exact thing, 3-5 business days.. in which I told them the same thing that I'm telling you.. go back to the store.. or better yet call up customer service and explain that you are a loyal Sprint customer and you desperately need your phone for work/business and you cannot wait, you want the phone overnighted or at least issued a loaner phone until you receive a new one.. otherwise you are taking your business elsewhere.. example Verizon... and see how fast they all of a sudden change their minds and overnight you that phone. I've done this many times on Sprint and many times with Verizon, the exception being that Verizon has never given me a problem, but Sprint likes to try and make you wait 3-5 business days.. its unacceptable.

Re: started with a black spot...
so after being on the phone with who knows how many different reps from customer service and from the store it turns out apparently my phone was received in the store yesterday morning, but even when i called the store checking to see if it was there yesterday no one told me it was.
my only other issue has been that both customer service and the store reps assured me that the phone would be coming in blue instead of the white that i currently have but the phone has arrived in white but it seems there is nothing i can do - 09-02-2012, 04:26 PM #16
