Not getting notifications

I am not receiving Twitter notifications to my phone and I have no idea why! I have Twitter set to sync every 30 minutes and I have Twitter notifications on... but every time someone mentions me, retweets me or favorites me I do not receive the notification on my phone at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue on the HTC EVO LTE so might not be centric to your device. I have to wonder if notifications in general are being impacted by ICS's background program management tactics but purely speculative on my part. Battery life took priority over continuous app functionality.

I ahcave the same problem on my Samsung tablet. I have an Icon that Is informing me that notIfIcatIons are turned off. But I do not recall doIng that, and I cant find anywhere a global notIfIcatIon cancelatIon swItch. Any Idea?
