After the last update I can no longer access the Owner Information to update it. Attempting to do so actually crashes the Settings App:


I had a really long text string of (about 80 characters or so) in there as a challenge question for any would-be thieves.

It's obviously choking on the long text string, BUT, what can I do about it?

I'm not rooted, but would root if accessing and editing the file turns out to be the only easy way to fix this. I am willing to work to fix this, but I really don't want to do a complete reset.

Same problem here except mine restored from my previous phone. When trying to edit It, I get the same error.. I am rooted...

What are you guys talking about? Owner info? Huh?

This corrected for me after the Jelly Bean update.
It just chopped my really long text string at the new limit, and allowed me to edit it.
