I have an EVO now and I'm getting a Galaxy S3, and was wondering how to transfer text messages.

Maybe you can store the text on ur memory card and transfer that way!

Download SMS Backup and Restore and backup the messages on your old phone. Transfer the backup file to your new phone and restore using the app.

This is the way to go. The evo does not back up the text messages in a way that can be read by the gs3. The only way I know to do this is a stand alone app. SMS Backup does as well as any of them.

Use back up & message to email in the app store it backs up everything to your gmail. Its has a little blue envelope with orange hands as the icon. Can't remember the developer right now.

Both your two phones have blue tooth? u can blue tooth send the text messages to Galaxy S3..
Does it have a memory card that both phones can use? Just save messages to the memory card and then transfer the memory card from EVO 3D to Samsung Galaxy S3 .
Or use the Android SMS to Android Transfer software to directly.
