I'm now traveling at Japan, but get a system update notice. My questions are

Is it safe to update abroad? I'm using Wi-Fi only.

Will go back US in two weeks.wish the system update thing won't do it automatically, better do it when I'm home.but, will it?

If your using wifi only, your good to go to update at will.

I'm afraid this is not true.My turn in radio station app says, no service at this country.does it mean something?

If you are worried about doing the OTA update go to the thread below. It has a zip and instructions to manually install. It's very easy and it's the exact same update file that is sent OTA. This is how I updated my phone instead of waiting for the OTA to pop up on my phone.
