Here's the plain and simple of it. Your phone is an LTE device. That means the only 4G network it is compatible with is the 4G LTE network; in the case of Sprint, it's part of the new Vision Network, that also includes improvements to 3G coverage. Your phone is NOT compatible with WiMax 4G. Your notification bar will only show 3G or 4G...there is NO LTE INDICATOR. If the 4G LTE signal is unavailable, your phone will switch to Sprint's 3G and it will show as 3G in the notification bar. So, if your phone shows 4G, that's 4G LTE.
