Just got 4g service in Brockton Ma...how can i tell if its LTE...anyone know?

Providing that your phone is LTE capable, you should have the "LTE" logo underneath the 4G logo on your notification bar when you're in LTE coverage.

Hey Brocton, Framingham here.
It's been rolling out this way for about a month.
Mine always displays "4G" ( nothing about lte ).
The increased speed is noticeable, and the mobile speed test app confirms it.

Incorrect. That is for ATT. Sprint will just say 4g instead of 3g.

Here's the plain and simple of it. Your phone is an LTE device. That means the only 4G network it is compatible with is the 4G LTE network; in the case of Sprint, it's part of the new Vision Network, that also includes improvements to 3G coverage. Your phone is NOT compatible with WiMax 4G. Your notification bar will only show 3G or 4G...there is NO LTE INDICATOR. If the 4G LTE signal is unavailable, your phone will switch to Sprint's 3G and it will show as 3G in the notification bar. So, if your phone shows 4G, that's 4G LTE.

Now that you have Sprint's 4G LTE, let those in your area know how you like it, etc. You can add a comment to this post at any time.

Hmmmm...had 4g all day yesterday at home....now back to 3g...have settings on to accept 4g...but nothing but 3g flowing...
