Google Maps is killing my battery life ...

Some recent update to Google Maps has it gobbling my Hyperion battery like crazy. Seven, maybe ten days ago, I was getting two full days on a charge (fairly heavy use). Now I'm lucky to get a day, and checking the Battery setting tells me it's Google Maps.

I turned off GPS by Satellite, hoping that will help. We'll see.

Anybody else noticing this?

If you go into the Maps app, hit the capacative menu button, then go into settings.. Click on location settings, and turn off location reporting, and that should take care of the problem! :cool:
