Storage question
I was in my storage sub menu the other day, and I noticed that on my phone storage it says that I am using 187 mb for photos and videos.. I have searched high and low through my files, trying to find where they are hiding, but have been unsuccessful.. I use picspeed for my wallpapers, but I always go and move them to my external SD card.. I don't have any videos on here, and all of my camera photos are saved to the external SD automatically.. What am I overlooking?

Re: Storage question
DCIM folder?
You didn't tell us where you DID look, so I have no idea where you might not have looked. Images can get stored in multiple locations, depending on how you put them on your phone (e.g., camera pics, downloads, attachments...PLEASE, when asking for help provide as much information as possible. Otherwise, it's like calling your doctor and saying "My head hurts." Your doctor can't treat you unless he knows whether you have a headache or a concussion, and we can't help unless we know what the symptoms are and what you did before they occurred.
If I've helped you, please press the Thanks button.

Re: Storage question
Yep and just to piggy back a little on his answer... the phone comes with stuff stored already in it. Maybe the pics are pre loaded wallpapers? Not sure about the videos though. Maybe a media folder.

Re: Storage question
And here I was , thinking I was being thorough HA! I looked through every folder in the internal memory DCIM, Pictures, Picspeed, download, media, even Tumblr, and there isn't any files for photos in any of them.. I do see a "burstlyimagecache" and "burstlyvideocache" that have files, but it says that it can't find the application to open the file.

Re: Storage question
Screenshots shows no folders, as well.. It's not that I need the memory I still have over 10 gigs left, it's more the principal of the thing.. If it shows storage being used for images, I should be able to find them
I can tell when I transfer my wallpapers to my external card, as the storage space on the card is reduced, so I know they are going to the card..

Re: Storage question
Maybe it's cache from pics and videos taken and it doesn't actually show in a folder? I'm no expert so this is just a wild guess. Maybe go to application manager and see if gallery or media has a clear cache option and see if the amount of storage for pics and videos goes down?

Re: Storage question
If I understand the OP correctly, then these files are thumbnails for the Gallery. You can Select "Show Hidden Files" in the MyFiles options and they should show up for management. I wouldn't delete them though as it may mess up the Gallery (I'm not sure if you can move them either).
