    Default Trouble with Contacts

I just had something weird happen today...all my google contacts on my phone were now "SIM" contacts (Sprint phones don't have a SIM card). No matter what I did, what contacts I chose to view, only these would show, and I couldn't edit or delete them. I couldn't sync any new ones on Google either. Luckily a 2 week old Nandroid backup (10 May) saved my bacon. Anyone else experience anything like this? I still don't know what caused it. MD4 Stock Rooted.

I've never seen this before. I can't find any option or ability on my Sprint GS3 to assign a contact to a SIM. Is your phone rooted, with a custom ROM? Has it been flashed to a carrier other than Sprint? Are you using a contacts app other than the standard Samsung app?
PLEASE, when asking for help provide as much information as possible. We can't help unless we know what the symptoms are and what you did before they began.

Neither had I. I am stock rooted, odexed, no other contacts app other than stock. I have no idea how it happened. Just went to edit a contact one day and couldn't, because they all showed SIM instead of Google. I ended up restoring a 2 week old TWRP backup and so far haven't seen that problem since until Sgooter posted the Contacts Puzzle thread. Weird.
