Email sync update limited to 15 minutes

I recently had to replace my phone due to a dead screen. Setting up my email accounts, it looks like the options for sync are different. Previously I was able to update as frequently as 5 minutes, but the most frequent I see now is 15 minutes. I believe my new phone is using a different version (4.3) than my previous phone, but can't be sure.
It is a sprint account and using the standard email app that was installed on the phone. I am seeing the same settings for gmail and hotmail accounts and both peak and not peak times.
one of these accounts I use for work, and during specific hours I need more frequent sync than 15 minutes, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

i'm seeing the same thing on stock sprint 4.3 > Push, Manual, 15m, 1hr, 2hr, 4hr

MS exchange, enterprise on S3 stock email app
