Annoying Floating Tab

Since the most recent upgrade the annoying floating tab now sits on the bottom of my screen. You used to be able to hold the back button to remove it, but this no longer works. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this thing? It gets in the way when I am typing. I realize I can slide it around the phone screen but I want it GONE.

Are you referring to the 'Multi window' feature? You can turn that off via the Quick Toggles in the upper right corner. If you don't see it listed in the default short list simply expand the list by selecting the control icon (looks kind of like the Windows logo icon) in the upper right.
