Galaxy S3 - Latest Update Messed Up!

Hey AndroidCentral!

So here is my issue. I came to work this morning and noticed I had an update for my Sprint Galaxy S3 and hit download/install. The phone did its thing and rebooted but now it is stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S3 logo. I tried to boot into recovery to see about doing a hard reset or clearing the cache, but when I do that it says "Downloading" and is stuck in that screen so I never get the options in the recovery mode.

Any suggestions? or should I just throw the phone at the wall? lol

Are you sure you're pressing the right button combo? Usually, pressing Power, Home, and Vol Down gets you to Download mode, while Power, Home, and Vol Up gets you to Recovery mode. See this guide: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html

Sigh! Thank you B. Diddy, I'm sorry to have wasted your time. lol. I was pressing the wrong button.

Damn. Even after clearing my cache and doing a factory reset, my phone still sticks at the Galaxy SIII logo.

Back to the drawing board... aka Google. =\

Hmm, that kind of thing often means a hardware problem. The last thing to try before considering bringing it to a service center would be to reflash the stock ROM: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...ide-samsung-how-flash-stock-rom-via-odin.html
