Anyone notice app problems while rooted? Also, a rooting ?

I unrooted for two reasons

1) as soon as I did, it took up to 30 seconds for my phone to dial out, and I was missing calls.
2) it seemed instant upload did not work for the google plus app.

Has anyone else found these issues?

Also, can I boot the Custom Recovery (like on xda) without unlocking the bootloader?

Rooting doesn't touch anything that you are saying was acting up.Rooting only gives you permission to do as you want to the phone.Kind of how on WIndows PC's you have to do somethings as 'admin'.

No you can't flash the custom recovery without unlocking first.
