Did you happen to install 2.3.7 in any point in time? From what I've gathered with CM7 at least is that: everyone who flashed to 2.3.7 got the new NFC software updated for Google Wallet; then, going back to an older version of Android it doesn't work together. So, if that's the case your most likely going to have to wait for 2.3.7 build of MIUI.

(Note: My NFC was working when I was running MIUI last week on version 1.9.16 or whatever it was)

K, cool. Glad I could help. I'm surprised you noticed it. I didn't until someone else asked if anyone else saw the issue and I checked. What else are you using NFC for?

Could be all mental, but i went back stock rooted because I wanted to use google Wallet and this update has my phone running great.

Its been better then Oxygen and CM7. I only used MIUI for a short while, but i couldn't stand the ui.

I run cm7 nightlies. So the one time I ran stock rooted 2.3.5 it felt a lot smoother than the current nightly I was on. Wasn't as fast though. But if you combine the freezing in some apps on that build. Lol.

Miui was fun. It was like messing with someone's else's phone. The it got old and too non android like.

Ha I did the same thing. Nobody in the MIUI seemed to have the problem. I love MIUI but wanted my free 10 Google bucks. I saw the newest MIUI update was pulled off the servers today
