Froze way too much for my liking. Told the dev the issues and got the responce "ok ". Never can get a helpful answer out of him.

If it was freezing a lot it probably wasn't the rom, it was probably the voltages on your kernel. Usually if I use the matr1x kernel I have to raise the lower end voltages by 25 otherwise I have problems with freezing and not coming out of sleep.

+1 on the kernel... Custom kernels are a bit touchy and will always perform a bit different on each device.. Mine, yours or the person 1/2 across the country. Play with the voltages or bump your lower 100 Mhz number up to 200 Mhz, as some devices just don't like waking up from that 100 Mhz number.
