Google wallet and root issues (Please Read)

Well all this week i have been battling this error on my phone when trying to open Google wallet.I contacted google wallet this morning and they have done something with the new update.If you are rooted Google wallet will no longer work.Even if you unroot it will still not work.It kinda blocks your phone out completely.It has to do with some kinda security thing.Well i just wanted to pass this on.

I'm rooted but on stock rom and running google wallet version 1.1-R38v4 . Just tested it and it opened up fine i was able to access my wallet and transaction history and cards section

Update - just went into market and v5 is out. just updated it and still works fine. all features are available

I was also rooted and had it working.I installed Carbon rom and updated google wallet and thats when the problem started.Ok thanks this confirms that it must be my phone.Sprint is gonna replace it so i will let you guys know if it still works

I'm actually having the same problem, after flashing the ICS ROM my NFC has been broken, I've unrooted, rerooted flashed every fix I could find and nothing. when google wallet is on my phone I can't uncheck NFC, when I take it off I can turn it on and off but it doesn't work,

interesting. i guess its realted to custom roms. just rooting it doesn't break it. did u try recovery restore of old rom before u flashed new one?

I know but I've unrooted, and updated the phone to 2.3.7 and it still doesn't work, I never use nandroid or TB, all fresh installs , earlier while using the ICS ROM ( source not sdk ) it was registering the vibrations when I put an NFC tag next to it .. weird.

Running 1.1-R38V5 2.3.7 Cyanogenmod-7.1.0.1 -NS4G with trinity kernel all working fine with me.. Had to fresh intalled and then the hack to wallet to work. No problem since them, i just update today.

You know if it's an SDK port, NFC won't work, since there's no NFC to emulate on the SDK.

At least what I've read..

Well i tried it today with the new ics 4.0 rom and it works flawlessly .

Yes I know this as well , what I am saying is after I flashed the sdk is my nfc/ wallet hasn't worked.. I unrooted my phone and updated it all the way, and still my GW is broken when Google wallet is on my phone I can not uncheck NFC when I try to uncheck it the whole option just turns to grey even the check is grey. So now I am rooted flashed over ever " fix I can fine doing all the instructions down to the T and still same problem. Google wallet just just at a complete black screen when I try to open it. does the same when the phone is stock. I went on ICS and flashed the google wallet fix at the same time fixed permissions and still nothing. bout to give up trying.
