Trebuchet (Launcher) has many more options
Browser downloads via 4G/WiMax
Face unlock (IMO not stable, due to no official release for Crespo4g)

Notification Power Widget
Removed MusicFX (Replaced by DSPManager)

Alpha 17:

Added voodoo sound control
Added MusicFx
Updated code for some issues
Superuser corrected, now works without issues

Alpha 16:

Added voodoo color control
Updated code for some issues

Sucked it up and tried this one out... running fast as cm7 so far. I think a thread needs to be made for voodoo color changes... it really brought ICS to life on this phone.

Flashed this late last night and its running very nice... Plus I got my notification power bar back! Woo !

Stock kernel included has Voodoo support, so I'm gonna run this for a day and see how it goes... Then swap over to a custom kernel and see what she does.

I believe the kangs have stopped now that official cyanogen has stepped in to do the NS4G.

1st impression is good for me. I've always been a CM dude. The notification bar widget is great to have back. I've never been a fan of the widget you add to the wall unless I can customize it. I do agree that matr1x on this bad *** is

can't wait to see the nightlies!!! I swear i switch ROMs like once a day and have a backup of every ICS rom out now lol

This is another rom my phone just doesn't like. So far only one of the 6 ICS roms is useable on my phone. They all have the exact same issue. Everything is so laggy no input is smooth. If I swipe to change screens or to scroll a screen like the app drawer it waits 1 or 2 seconds to move and when it does it jumps around. The app drawer has been completely unusable in every ICS rom I've tried as all or most of the app icons stack on top of each other (see sample picture)

Even OC to 1460 doesn't make any difference on my phone nothing is smooth. OCed the best it would do in quadrant is 1403.

See how most of the icons are piled up in the top left corner? It's the same on all roms except oICSv41, which runs great.

Just installed on my phone and running great. Good speed and considering this is still a fairly early build I can't wait until it is in beta and can't imagine how well it will run once final

My phone is doing something similar with oICSv41. Everything is laggy, with a 1-2sec delay for anything. It's very annoying but I love ice cream sandwich. Even with the lag, it felt so awful going back to gingerbread. I can't wait for google to get the nexus S 4G version out. What is taking them so long? I might as well buy a galaxy s2, they are getting it faster than us.

Either there's an issue that the NS4G has that the T-Mobile version doesn't have or Sprint is holding things up. I vote for Sprint.

I've ran both of these ROMs...

For me I like oICS, but CM9 was a very nice treat. Not like the CM7's of old, this seems to be a much more stable build at a way earlier stage than compared to CM7..

Don't bet on Sammy just because they say they are updating the SGSII to ICS at any particular date... I know coming from the Epic 4g that Sammy's word is not something to take to heart... Even once they get it ready then Sprint has to approve it and there will be more issues....

Better off sticking here if your waiting on official ICS for the NS4G.. We should have it much sooner than SGSII.

I have no issues with sms but then i don't use the stock app. I prefer gosms and have not had any of the issues that come with the stock app

If you get the SGS2 Epic Touch 4g (best name ever) - get it off contract- that phone will be extinct by spring with the SGS3... and frankly with the Nexus S you're guaranteed updates that are timely and oh yeah- WORK or are at least fixable in Roms...niether can be said for Samsung or Sprint otherwise.

Take it from the Epic defectors... we know the pain of which we speak.
