Block OTA updates?
Ok, so I've been having issues with the Nexus S 4g and ICS (both rooted and unrooted). For the last 2 weeks mms messages have not worked. I reverted back to Gingerbread 2.3.7, rooted with stock rom, and my mms works fine. But now I get constant requests for system upgrade to ICS. Is there any way to block these requests? I'd just as well stay on Gingerbread at this point so I can send/receive pics but it's asking me to upgrade every 10 minutes.

Re: Block OTA updates?
None that I know of. You would have to install a custom ROM for the system to stop sending the OTA notifications and even then sometimes they still make their way to you.

Re: Block OTA updates?
Hmm, ok thanks. I read somewhere that if you rename a file (otacerts.zip?) to .bak it would do it. But I'm not sure how to access that file to rename it.
*edit: I was able to rename file with Super Manager. We'll see what happens...Last edited by mtnfox; 06-29-2012 at 11:05 AM.
