I'm currently running Bugless Beast and Matr1x Kernel on my NS4G and have been very happy. I've been waiting for a BB ROM but like to move forward with a JB ROM. I'm ready to wipe my phone and am I'm looking for recommendations on which rooted ROM would be most Bugless Beast like....if that makes sense.

    I recommend Maddoggin's. It's simply the best.

I'm trying to research the different JB Roms. Been looking at JellyButt. LOL That did not sound right.
There are more out there than I thought. Anyone have a great reference spot besides reading almost every post on every ROM?

Maddoggin is for Galaxy Nexus, not NS4G. I have been on stock now for a couple of days. It's OK, haven't loved it. Waiting for battery to settle. The binaries for the NS4G just got released yesterday for the JB so I would expect that we'll see some new ROMS (or updated ones) coming out shortly. I would hold off for a couple of days for the dust to settle.

Coming from BB myself. I jumped in to the pool with 4.1.1 stock rooted deoxed rom. It's a few threads down. Works well. Until either Peter builds one or I can find the time to compile his source. I would recommend air kernel with this rom. Battery drain is alright. Not as great as bugless beast.

I am using stock kernel now but was thinking Air when I make the move. Which one are you using, stable, weekly? Honestly, I went to his website and I saw all of these options (high mem, 65fps, voodoo, etc.) and I just couldn't be bothered trying to figure it all out so I just passed on it. I definitely appreciate the fact that he's making some kick-*** kernels, but I what you would call a low-level tinkerer. I change ROMs every 6 months or so and when I get on something, I like it to be tight and bugfree and I usually don't do much with it until I make the next change.

I have been having really good luck with air kernel r1 voodoo only. Currently running with the latest JB aokp and am really liking it.

Surprised no JellyButt recommendations? Seems like a good and popular ROM.

JellyButt is a nice ROM. jstntp did a great job of keeping it close as possible to AOSP/stock experience while adding in the essentials like toggles and the extended power menu options. He finished it off with some nice performance tweaks/fixes

I personally recommend Codename Android. I'm running 3.6.5 (the latest) and it's very smooth, everything works great, and they did a good job of balancing the AOSP feel with mods from AOKP and CM10. I had a problem with Google Now on 3.6.0, but it seems to be solved with 3.6.5.

The built-in (3G only) tethering works just fine for me.

Thanks. Been hunting for the answer to the free tethering thing... all the 3rd party apps died like fish out of water after the jellybean move.
