Nexus S RAM question
The specs all say that the Nexus S has 512 MB RAM, but when I go to "Manage Apps"->"Running" at the bottom it says:
RAM
136MB used
175MB free
Does it just not list the amount that the OS is using? Is there an app that will show that and what OS programs are using RAM? - 07-18-2011, 09:33 AM #2

Re: Nexus S RAM question
I'd wondered that, too. Mine says 143 used, 113 free, but the numbers wiggle around a bit.

Re: Nexus S RAM question
Don't quote me on this, but I believe the systempanel app should give a total breakdown of RAM usage.

Re: Nexus S RAM question
149/169. Sometimes I'm around 12X/18x. Google voice fluxes ram usage between 15-51mb depending on your setup and what it's doing. On Average without integration with Sprint Google voice will use about 30mb. Then with integration it usually stays around 51 and never dips under 30. Where without it'll go down to 15 at some times.

Part of the ram is dedicated to the gpu on this phone. That is why it shows less than 512 MB
