Right under the clock on my Nexus S 4G there is a blue and white icon shaped like a gear that flashes whenever I switch to the homepage. It's really annoying. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to get rid of it?

Well its obviously not something stock so I guess your going to have to do a process of elimination to see what is causing it....

See what apps are running then force close one at a time. If still there move to the cached apps.

It's either part of your wallpaper, or a function of your launcher
