Reception improvement with ICS
I've noticed that both the 3G and 4G receptions have improved. I now get full 4G bars in locations that were weaker before, and a bar or two more for 3G. Yet speeds haven't increased and are basically the same as before according to speed tests I've done.

Re: Reception improvement with ICS
If this is the case then I may consider going back to the Nexus S 4g. It was really the only thing I couldn't live with.
I have an iPhone 4 right now and it's pretty boring. Might hold out of the Evo LTE though. - 04-10-2012, 10:06 PM #3
I've definitely noticed reception improvement. Not only that, the indicator in the status bar is now honest about when you're connected via 1x instead of 3G/EvDO.
I haven't noticed a data slowdown like one or two people have mentioned in other threads. I assume that they were syncing a bunch of data after their upgrade had finished (movies, books, apps, etc.).

Houston area
Before update (stats from last May)
at work 4G - 3,435kbps down......924kbps up
at work 3G - 373kbps down.......581kbps up
----------
After update at work:
4G - 3,040kbps down....1,370kbps up
3G - 470kbps down....310kbps up
-----------
Reception seems better. I typically drop call at same spot everyday driving back home from work. Yesterday, it didn't drop. - 04-11-2012, 09:02 AM #7
